The word solstice comes from two Latin words: sol, meaning sun and sistere, meaning "to stand still." I am looking forward to closing this decade with stillness, space, intention and gratitude. 2019, you were so sour and somewhat sweet.

And to each and EVERY ONE of you — from the bottom of my heart — I am sending you gratitude, light, health, and happiness in this holiday season. To my friends, family, acquaintances, and kind strangers: thank you for from the bottom of my heart for showing up with support as I navigated this year. I’m growing every day, and I’m genuinely grateful to each of you going through that with me. If you’re in a time of dark nights, you’re not alone... and you remind me that I am not alone, either.

Wishing you a happy Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanza, Festivus, Toji, Yule, Dōngzhì and more! Enjoy the last days of the decade — snow, rain, or shine!

My mantra through the end of the year: “You can't stop dreaming just because the night never seems to end.” – Curtis Tyrone Jones, Guru in the Glass
