The Last Peach
"Training is everything. The peach was once a bitter almond; cauliflower is nothing but a cabbage with a college education." – Mark Twain
As the fruits of summer fade away, we reach for these last vestiges of heat and sun and rain and growth...and we see them as perhaps more precious than we did at the height of the season. Let us savor each fruit. And let us not forget we are all in training toward our highest and best selves. Always.
