As a Clam

"Salt is born of the purest parents: the sun and the sea." – Pythagoras

So what are clams born of? These gorgeous mollusks have alternately been thought of as either a starvation food or a symbol of collective celebration.

The origin of the American Clambake is actually from a Native American custom of digging pits in the beach and using hot rocks for heat and seaweed for steam. Whatever your own history with clams or clam bakes, these pilsner-steamed clams will be a delicious key ingredient in a featured course at the next Curated Feast.

Tickets have just sold out this past weekend, so this post is merely a tease for all of you! 🍽😌

Chef @aroweculinary thank you for an amazing test run of the meal, making @heatherintheforest and I each happy as a clam. 🤣🐚
