Client Spotlight: Osiris

Meet our client: the radiant and wise Osiris Abrego Plata. Since January, we’ve been working together on building her brand and expressing her powerful work to the world. We’d love to share a bit about working with Osiris, with you.

Originally from Panama, Osiris has lived in California for over 10 years. She is a social & labor auditor and her assignments have taken her to 11 countries and 17 states across the U.S. She sits on the board of the @biodynamicsbda and has worked with and social responsibility programs such as Equitable Food Initiative and @fairtradecertified.

She shared the following with me after our last session, and I wanted to share it with you:

"Liz, you have been a wonderful doula alongside me as I craft my communication strategy and inch out of my introverted comfort zone. It felt natural to work with you as we enjoyed the common language of sustainable agriculture. To have the deep well of myth, story, and archetypes to accompany us in this journey meant so much to me. Deep gratitude to you, and the knowledge of the journey you carry in your pocket! Thank you for capturing this moment, and for the delicate and masterful work you do.

Also, an artist friend once said this to me over a bonfire: 'At times, the creative process expresses itself as a long pregnancy and a rapid birthing — and then, too, it can be *the exact* opposite.' Being comfortable and at peace with one’s own process, be it a long pregnancy, a building and gestation of ideas, or a fully immersive birthing experience, is so key. I think about this message when I reflect on this image and our journey."

So needless to say, Osiris has been a gleamingly bright spot in my life, this year. The portrait above was our mutual favorite from our first branded photo session.
