Moods

“In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions:
When did you stop dancing?
When did you stop singing?
When did you stop being enchanted by stories?
When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?” - Gabrielle Roth

It’s so important to pay attention to our moods and states. If you are feeling disheartened, as I honestly have more this year than any other time, just remember how important motion is. My job has periods of stagnation physically, with hours with my face in a screen, balanced with times where I get to be super social and move around. Listen to your body — even if is a silly little hip shake, get some motion going. Or put on your favorite shower song and belt it out! (Wrecking Ball, anyone?) Then pause for a moment, and revel in the joy that comes from small actions.

Or travel! I’m about to hop on a plane (lol at first this said BLANE ), heading down south for an event with @ccoforganic and I can’t wait for a little travel energy to shake up my dusty routines! It always helps so much more than I expected.
