An apple a day?

Funny enough, many of you will be holding an apple in your hands as you read this... I wonder if that counts?! 🤳🏽👩🏼‍💻

The original phrase was a lot more cumbersome to say: “Eat an apple on going to bed, and you’ll keep the doctor from earning his bread.” This was first recorded in the 1860s in Wales, and clearly we have trimmed the fat on the phrase since then!

And of course Hippocrates famously said “let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Today the apple is one of the premier symbols of health. And in traditional Ayurvedic medicine, the apple is also mentioned about 1500 years ago!

What’s your favorite healthy food?
